Kevin Dineen, who has joined Living by Robertson as Construction Director, believes excellent communication, beyond health and safety procedures, is a key factor in his new role to support Living meet its ambitions to quadruple the homes being built per year by 2026.
Kevin Dineen said: “To achieve Living’s targets, great communication with every single team member is essential to ensure we are all pulling in the same direction. Within construction, often communication is solely focused on processes and procedures for quality checks or health and safety; however, I aim to ensure the entire construction team feels part of Living’s wider aims and ambitions through frequent updates and feedback sessions.”
“As construction emerges from a challenging period in recent years, it is more important than ever that teams are resilient and agile, and I believe this starts with great communication.”
Before joining Living by Robertson, Kevin had been with Barratt Homes since 2016 as Contracts Manager, overseeing several sites and being directly in charge of all labour employees and apprentices. Before this, Kevin worked in several senior roles at Barratt Homes, Bett Homes, Bellway Homes and Redrow. During his career, Kevin has also won several NHBC awards, including being named Pride in the Job Winner in 2008 and 2016 and the Site Safety Award in 2018.
Kevin Dineen said in his new role as Construction Director: “I only wanted to move for the right job. Living offers me the perfect fit, a young company with big ambitions where your work is recognised, and you feel appreciated.”
Living by Robertson Managing Director Martin Findlay said, “This is a very important appointment for Living by Robertson. Kevin has proven his ability to deliver high-quality projects across Scotland. Kevin has all the experience and skills necessary to support us to continue to deliver outstanding homes at a more affordable price for our customers.”
